Customer Pricing Model

Engram operates a 4-tier commercial pricing model designed to scale with customer needs.

Tier Price Capacity Target
Developer Free 100 convos, 1k episodes/mo Individual Devs / POC
Team $49/mo 1,000 convos, 10k episodes/mo Startups (up to 5 users)
Business $199/mo Unlimited convos, 50k episodes/mo Scale (up to 25 users)
Enterprise $2,000/mo+ Unlimited, SSO, SLA Fortune 500 / Regulated

Add-Ons

  • Voice Live: $10 per 30 minutes (beyond tier)
  • Document Ingestion: $20 per 500 documents (beyond tier)
  • Custom Agent Dev: $2,000 one-time engagement

FinOps Strategy

Primary Directive

Maximize margins by staying fully OSS during pre-revenue phase. Migrate to premium SaaS (Zep Cloud Flex) only after first paying customer.

Memory Layer Strategy

  • Current: Zep OSS (self-hosted, $0/mo)
  • Trigger: First paying customer
  • Action: Migrate to Zep Cloud Flex ($25/mo)
  • Rationale: No 1,000 user limit pressure yet; metadata limitations are acceptable for POC

Scale Targets

  • Year 1 ARR: $380,000 (Target)
  • Customer Acquisition: Focus on Developer conversion to Team tier.
